Abigail Hinshaw was born Jan 9 1826, Holly Spring MM, North Carolina, daughter of Stephen Hinshaw and Hannah Davis.

She married Neri Cox, 11-22-1849, Piney Ridge MH, North Carolina. Neri, son of Thomas Cox and Sarah Barker, was born Sep 7 1826, North Carolina. Note that Abigail's Aunt, Elizabeth Hinshaw, married Neri's brother William Cox. To this union were born: Junius Thomas Cox 1851 - 1896 Hannah Lavina Cox 1853 - Elmina Ellen Cox Brown 1856 - 1951
