Biography
Peter Hitchcock, was born 1 July 1754 in Brimfield, Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay. [1][2][3] He was the son of Joseph Hitchcock and Mary (Burt) Hitchcock.[2]
On 7 April 1776 in Brimfield, Massachusetts, Peter Hitchcock married Ruth Bliss. [2] They had three children [4] :
- Samuel Bliss Hitchcock, b. 25 April 1777
- Besey Hitchcock, b. 9 January 1780
- Jeremy Hitchcock, b. 4 March 1781
Peter died in 1828 in Homer, Cortland County, New York and was buried at Glenwood Cemetery in Homer.[3]
