Biography

Benjamin was a Friend (Quaker)

Benjamin was born on 15 Nov 1714 in Amesbury, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1] He was the son of Benjamin Hoag and Sarah (Norris) Hoag.[1]

He married Lydia Jones on 19 Aug 1738 in Amesbury, Essex, Massachusetts.[2] She was the daughter of John and Susannah (Fowler) Jones.[2] Lydia was born 1720, Amesbury, Massachusetts and died 19 August, 1788, Brentwood, Rockingham, New Hampshire.

He was received on certificate at the Oblong monthly meeting from the Amesbury monthly meeting on 19d 5m 1760 [19 May 1760].[3]
