Sarah was born in 1803. She married Alexander McClellan in 1822. She passed away in 1892 and was laid to rest at Mount Olive Cemetery in Troy, Doniphan County, Kansas.

Sarah McClellan was born in Greene Co., Penn., Sept. 19, 1803. She removed to Athens County, Ohio, in 1851, where she became a member of the Christian Church. She heard frequently the preaching of Alexander Campbell. In 1865 she came with her family to Kansas, where she lived until her death. She died at the residence of her son, John A., in Willis, Brown County, Kansas, Jan. 7, 1892., of la grippe, aged 88 years, 3 months and 18 days. Of eleven children, three sons remain: John A., James W., and Dorsey.
