- Joshua's death record[2] refers to his second marriage as to the widow Holbrook. If this Elizabeth Holbrook is the second wife of Joshua Bailey, and that source is accurate, then 'Holbrook' is NOT her maiden name (Last Name at Birth).
- Elizabeth Snow, also listed as a wife of Joshua bailey, did marry Abiezer Holbrook in 1762.[3]
