Samuel Holden was born In Woburn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts January 8, 1650/1. He was the son of Richard Holden and Martha Fosdick Holden. [1]
The family relocated to Groton, Massachusetts ,but left there after the Indian troubles of 1676 and returned to Woburn. They returned to Groton and moved again to Stoneham about 1689..[1]
Samuel married about 1680 Anna (Unknown) in Stoneham. Some say her name was Larrabee. Their children:[1][2]

Samuel, born unknown in Groton, died 1688
Joseph, born about 1695, probably in Stoneham
Abigail, born about 1697 in Stoneham, married 1714
Samuel, born July 28, 1699 in Stoneham
Mary (Mercy), born about 1701 in Stoneham, married by 1722
Samuel Holden died in Stoneham, Middlesex County, June 18, 1739. he is buried in "The Old Yard". [1]
