Sarah Hollingsworth was born on 7 October 1706 in Rockland Manor, New Castle, Delaware and was christened in Newark MM, New Castle, Delaware.[1][2] Her parents were Thomas[3] and Grace (Cooke) Hollingsworth. She married John Dixon on 29 October 1724,[4] as recorded in the Newark Monthly Meeting:
John DICKSON of Mill Creek Hundred, NCC [New Castle County], and Sarah HOLLINGSTH. [Hollingsworth] of Christiana Hundred, afsd. co. 29-8-1724 at Center meeting house.[5][6]
She was listed as Sarah Dixson in an abstract of her father's will:[7]
Sarah Dixon's marriage to Daniel Nichols was recorded at the Kennett Monthly Meeting, Chester County, Pennsylvania, in April 1743.[9] She died prior to Daniel writing his will on 7 April 1795 which included a bequest to "late-wife's children, Charles and Grace (Dixon) Gause."[10]
Research Notes
Some researchers say that Sarah died on 8 September 1738 in Upper Providence, Chester, Pennsylvania.[1] That assertion will be re-evaluated if primary sources are found.
Children
The following profiles were attached as children of John and Sarah (Hollingsworth) Dixon as of 7 September 2019. Please see their profiles, and John's for sources found to support the attachment (in most cases, better sources are needed, which is why this list is under Research Notes).
Hollingsworth Heritage Volume XI No. 1 gives alternate date of birth: 7 Aug 1706: date of death Aft 30 Oct 1725: marriage: 29 Aug 1724 at Old Swedes Church, Willmington, Delaware. Note - birth/marriage were in 8th month, which would be October, not August. ~ ls
Bobby R. Huggins book reports Sarah married a George Martin on 17 Jul 1747, which, cannot be because she died on 8 Sep 1738....and this writer shows her second marriage was to Aaron Harlan March. Note - wife of George Martin was probably the daughter of John & Sarah; perhaps she was wife of Mr. March also. ~ ls
www.hollygardens.com lists date of marriage to John Dickson as 29 Aug 1724. Note - again, August is a "misconversion" of 8m (which in 1724 would be October, not August). ~ ls

Comment copied from Dixon-350 which is protected so changes should start there:
The daughter Sarah Dixon ( Dixon-1162 ) is linked to George Martin ( Martin-5340 ) and his children. Sarah Dixon, daughter of John and Sarah (Hollingsworth) Dixon, actually married David Pusey ( Pusey-82 ) in 1756.
Since Dixon-1162 currently contains a lot of biographical material connected to George Martin I believe the simpler way to fix this would be to detach Dixon-1162 from this profile and attach Dixon-4619 instead.
Dixon-4619 is currently attached to a William Dixon ( Dixon-4620 ) and Ann (Gregg) Dixon ( Gregg-960 ) which should be merged with Dixon-357 and Gregg-34 respectively after Dixon-4619 is detached from them. I will add to these too.
I posted the documentation of Sarah Dixon's marriage to David Pusey, with names of her parents, here https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/memories/LC62-85Z since the image in the Friends records could only be accessed from a family history Center or affiliate library.
Thanks to whomever posted the link to Daniel Nichols will. I see many of those he left legacies to were grandchildren of Sarah (Hollingsworth) Nichols. Including David Pusey's children who I was once informed was married to her daughter Sarah.

Glenn - Your comment "On the Hollingsworth-1343 page I linked to a Hollingsworth genealogy record with details"... seems to be referring to http://www.pennock.ws/surnames/fam/fam38104.html - which has no sources. From the Changes page, that's the only thing you've added to the profile. The www.pennock.ws page says Sarah was born 1706 and died "before" 1795... unless a lot before, 89 seems a bit long lived for the time.
Is there a source for her death date? The 1738 that Michael added as her death date is cited to a mishmash (see this changes page).
on John Dixon's page, his 1742 death has [citation needed] ... he's known to have been dead by his son's marriage in 1748. Do your records show a death date for John?
This would require a much later death date for Sarah. On the Hollingsworth-1343 page I linked to a Hollingsworth genealogy record with details. I haven't yet looked through all of your recent updates on the two Sarah pages but just wanted to make sure you saw that background data.
I'm still looking, and I'm getting closer to accepting that Sarah, John Dixon's widow (born 1706) married as her 2nd husband Daniel (born c1720). However, considering all the intermarriages, I'm not totally convinced that it's not another Sarah, widow of a Dixon, who married Daniel.
Hollingsworth-1343 and Hollingsworth-1636 do not represent the same person because: marriage with Nichols (Hollingsworth-1343) is after death of Sarah who married Dixon.
A marriage record for Daniel Nichols and Sarah Dixon has been located and cited on both Hollingsworth-1636 and Nichols-3061. On behalf of the Quakers Project, I have approved the merge with profile Hollingsworth-1343
