DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Benjamin or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
  • Benjamin Hollister: Family Tree DNA Y-DNA Test 37 markers, haplogroup I-M253, FTDNA kit #410345

Hi Benjamin,

I sent you a message a while ago on behalf of the Germany Project and have yet to hear back from you. I hope you are well.

If I don’t hear from you in the next week or so I’ll assume you no longer wish to be in the project and go ahead and remove you. You would, of course, be most welcome to rejoin at any time via the G2G sign-up post.

Best wishes,

Kylie :-)

Hi,

On behalf of the Germany Project, I am currently undergoing our member check-in's and wanted to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? We have many new teams so have a look on the Germany project page for the full list. I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google groups for project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup, please submit a join request and we will get that approved as quickly as possible. We also ask that you check your follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (GERMANY) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions please ask. I would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project!

Please respond by private message. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi Benjamin. Samuel George Treloar is my paternal grandfather. I have sent a private request to you this past week to request placement on the trusted list for him as I have considerable information about his siblings, children and ancestors, but I can't do this at present. Please act on this request at your earliest convenience so that I can link recent generations to earlier ones already recorded on WikiTree. Regards, Mark

Benjamin, do you happen to speak any other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add

{{ Languages | en | fr-2 | ga-1 }}

to the top of your biography if you speak English natively, intermediate French and basic Irish, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-1 for basic Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.

It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree! If you only speak English, you're very welcome to use this text to make that clear:

{{ Languages | en }}

Thanks,

Karen

Hi Ben,

Regarding Clara Isabella Sheen, my great Grandfather Charles Farnell's third wife matches this lady's profile. My grandmother Christinana Farnell left a small amount of photo's and one them is of Clara. Charles Farnell was married four times and had 27 children. If any of this is of interest too you then please let me know. Iain Shaw

Was working on the Gregory's and ran across William Gregory-3439 b. 1805, Do you have any other info on him? I was looking for a William Gregory b. 1805 of Knox, Main. Could this be him?

Thanks Doug

Hi Ben

I noticed you're the only volunteer researcher listed in SA so wanted to say hi.

Also, I noticed a gap in your GG grandparents in your family tree view (specifically, Vera Bowman's parentage), which I was able to fill in relatively quickly using free public resources. You probably already had this info but hadn't put it here on WikiTree but I had fun hunting it down.

Cheers Lisa

Hi,

I noticed your new Club 100 badge.

Congratulations ?

Keep up the nice work.

Guy

Hello Benjamin,

How are you doing? Hope you're enjoying our site.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.

Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide.

Also Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

And of course, I'm here to help in any way I’m able. Just ask!

Congratulations for your Pre-1700 Certified Badge ?
Congratulation for your Honor Code Signatory Badge.
Hi, my name is Ben and I have a vision of a single(ish), documented world family tree. There must be an app for that... Ah! here it is!

I'm not terribly interested in keeping knowledge and information to myself. If I have made a connection, why should someone else have to start from scratch? Checking proofs is something else, but let's not duplicate energy needlessly.

Let's do this!
