Elisha Hopkins was born on 17 December 1688 in Eastham, Plymouth Colony, the son of Joshua and Mary (Cole) Hopkins.[1]
He married Experience Scudder in Barnstable on 09 October 1712.[1] She was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Hamblin) Scudder, born on 28 April 1692 in Barnstable.[1]
Elisha died on 01 February 1741/2, aged 53 years, 1 month and 15 days in Chatham "after a short and distressing illness" as was buried there.[1]
His widow married secondly to Rev. Samuel Osborn of Chatham after intentions were published in Boston on 19 October 1743. She was living on Nantucket in 1747, and probably died in Chatham after 1756. She [1]
