Biography

David Horton ... [1]

David Pierce "Pressley" Horton is my Grandfather. My Dad Albert Horton, born 1886, often spoke of his Father walking away from his family when Dad was abt. 6 yrs. old. His dad had gone to bring the cows in, and he never returned. When Dad was abt 18 yrs old he learned where his Father was from his 2nd. Cousin Huey Pierce Long Jr, who was a Peddler at the time. Huey told Dad where he had seen his Uncle David, and Dad went to see for himself; he said it was his Father, but he did not speak to him. Soon after that Dad started using the Surname of Lenard, and after a while there was no way for him to return to Horton; he had spent yrs. using the name of Lenard, and his Children were born with that Surname. Recent DNA results have allowed me to connect to my Ancestors, the Hortons, Crows, Garlands, and all the related family's for many Generations.

However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with David:
