Peter C. House was born about 1755. The "C" in this period is generally a patronymic for the father's name, in this case Conrad, but some genealogies call him Peter Christian House.[1] He was baptized May 11, 1755 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Stone Arabia, New York.[2] He married Anna Shaut on January 11, 1785 at German Flatts.[3] He died in 1813 from wounds received at the battle of Sacketts Harbor in 1812.[4]
