Biography

Born Peter Abraham about 1835, New York, United states. He met and married Annie E. Towner before 1886. They had five children. Peter served as a Private, in Company K 107th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment, US Civil War from 1861 to 1865. His death on 5 Sep 1906. He is buried at Highland Cemetery, Avoca, New York.

1850 Census Peter was 12, living with his family in Wheeler New York. Parents were Abraham House age 46 Elizabeth Shaut age 45 and siblings Isaac House age22 William age 20 Lany (Ellen Magdalen) age 16, Lavia age 16 Menzo age 14 Mary age 10, Nancy C age 3

1855 New York State Census. Peter was 18. Living in Wheeler New York. Abram P age 50 Betsey age 49 Mary age 14 Nancy C age 8

1860 Peter age 22 occupation is Farm Laborer living in Wheeler New York with Abram age 57 Elizabeth age 55 and Nancy age 12


8/11/1862 Peter Enlisted in the Civil war on the side of the Union as a private in Wheeler New York.

1863 he marries Annie E towner

11/18/1864 he was imprisoned in Social Circle Georgia

6/22/1865 he mustered out of York Pennslvania

1875 New York State Census Peter is age 39 living with his family in Wheeler New York. Wife Anora age 33, daughters Bell House age 7 Ida House age 6 Georgeanna House age 1 - Uncle Conrad House age 89 and a boarder Alice E Rockwell
