Daniel was born in 1672, the son of James and Priscilla (Dane) Hovey.[1][2] He was both a carpenter by trade and a Deacon by passion.[2] About 1695 he married Mercy (Howard/Hayward?). To this union were born at least five children, at least one of whom died at a young age.[2] (Dea.) Daniel passed away in March, 1741, in Oxford, Massachusetts.[3]
