Solomon Hovey was born to James and Elizabeth Lyman Hovey in Mansfield, Connecticut, on March 27, 1751
James, Elizabeth, and their family removed to Brimfield, Massachusetts sometime between 1751 and 1774 and settled in the southwestern part of town that became first South Brimfield and then Wales.[1]
Solomon married Lucy Barlow in Brimfield on January 1774.[1]
Benjamin, b. Jan. 17, 1776 (sic. Other records have 1775), married Hephzibah Bullen[2]
Ebenezer, b. July 10, 1776
James, b. Sept. 23, 1779
Mary, b. April 16, 1782
Solomon, b. Jan. 6, 1784
Solomon Hovey and his family (four sons and daughter Mary) removed to Lima, New York State in 1787, [1]
Solomon Hovey died in Lima on 25 Mar 1804, and was buried there in Oak Ridge Cemetery[3]
