He was a physician in Andover, Massachusetts, locating there about 1718. [2][3] His son Dr. Daniel How succeeded his father as physician at Andover and concentrated on treated the insane. [4]
He married, Mercy Warner, intentions published at Ipswich on September 4, 1714. Mercy was born at Ipswich on November 5, 1686, daughter of Daniel and Sarah (Dane) Warner. [1][5][2][3]
Israel died at Andover on July 15, 1740, his widow Mercy settling his estate. [6][2] The estate was valued atL 415.07.06, including real estate of homestead and two other lots being assessed at L 225. [7]
The inventory included clothing, furniture and many household items, including books, two being described as 'Doctor books.' [7]
Widow Mercy How died on October 20, 1765, aged 79 years. [6][2][3]
