Biography

Ebenezer was born 13 Dec 1725, the child of John Howe and Sarah Gould.^[1] He married 7 Sep 1749 Elizabeth Whtiney,^[2] born 28 Jan 1732, the daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth (Bridges) Whitney.^[3] She died, and he married second 31 Oct 1751 Lucy Stimson.^[2] Lucy was born in Ipswich March 1732 (baptized 9 Apr 1732), the daughter of George and Margaret Stimson.^[4] They lived in Hopkinson. Lucy died 22 Oct 1824 in Hopkinton. Her death record listed her as a "native of Ipswich," age 92 years, 7 months".^[5] The death record note led to her birth record in Ipswich.
