Urbane Benjamin "Ben" Howell, 75, a native of Rabun and resident of Dothan, died Jan. 2, 1999, at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. He was in the maintenance department at Mannor Corporation.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Carver Howell of Dothan; three sons, Michael Paffumi of Greenacres, Wash., Donald McCallister of Bon Secour and William A. Hough of Dothan; two daughters, Diane Nelson of Bon Secour and Sarah Baughman of Dothan; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 7 at the New Life Baptist Church with the Revs. Otis Thames and Earl Stabler officiating. Burial was in New Life Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette.
