HI, I see you are working on default approved merges, you may want to review http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Matching_and_Merging_FAQ to understand your responsibilities in doing merges. Remember, after the merge you will want to clean up the text. During a merge, the text from the merged-away profile is simply appended onto the end of the text of the merged-into profile. You will want to integrate it into a single biography and a single sources section. When you create an unmerged match, you should be very specific about what is required or missing, and if you need help finding the data, please ask for help on G2G. Remember that default approved merges mean the profile managers are inactive and you are taking responsibility.

Hi Debbie

I'll be happy to work together with you on any profile. Feel free to add facts, sources, etc as you'd like.

Richard Howell is my 7th great grandfather:

Doug is the son of Joan C. Turse.

Joan is the daughter of Ellsworth J. Turse.

Ellsworth is the son of Caroline L. Rudlun.

Caroline is the daughter of Hattie L. Conklin.

Hattie is the daughter of Phebe J. Benjamin.

Phebe is the daughter of Moses Benjamin.

Moses is the son of David Benjamin.

David is the son of Mary Patty Howell.

Mary Patty is the daughter of Richard C. Howell.

Richard, therefore, is the seventh great grandfather of Doug

Hi Debbie,

I got your message and looked at your family tree. Pretty impressively complete! Turns out we are 10th cousins once removed, both descending from Richard Church.

Debbie, Hi. No relations. I was editing the profile of Eavline Abigail Tinsley Quinley Wood because I am an arborist and clean up after merges sometimes. Did you try posting a question about her in G2G ?

Thank you Debbie for your recent merges. Please remember to clean up duplicate info from the Bio after the merge.
Hi Debbie, I was able to find a record of Sarah Church-1597's marriage to Nathan Folger. It named her parents. They ARE two different people. I was able to clear up one other potential merge with Church-1597--it matched Church-360 and I proposed a merge with Church-360. Thanks for your help getting these straightened out!

Hi Debbie,

I see that you rejected the merge of Sarah Church-1597 and Sarah Church-360. I agree that they are very likely two different people. I've posted everything I know (which isn't much) about Church-360 on her profile. But I don't know anything about Church-1597. Do you know more about her? If yes, would you please add that information to her biography. If we're sure that they are two different people it would probably be a good idea to make some comments about that in each biography. With their similar birth years and nearby locations they're likely to be confused and possibly mixed up again.
