Phillip was born about 1790. He passed away in 1850.
He appears as Philip Howery on the 1820 census of Montgomery County, and as Philip Howrey on the 1830 census of Montgomery County. In 1838 he posted bond for the marriage of (his daughter) Polly Howry to David L. Barger in Montgomery County, Virginia.
On 31 March 1834 Philip Howry and wife Elizabeth, described as being "of Montgomery County, " joined with his brothers Daniel and Jonathan and with his sister Elizabeth in selling ten acres in Floyd County to John Epperly. They each signed the deed with an "x." [Montgomery Co. Deed Bk. A:246.] Phillip appears as Philip Howry on the 1840 census of Montgomery County.
In the Spring of 1845 he moved from Virginia to Wisconsin, along with his sister- in-law and her children. He appears on the 1850 census in Dane County as a farmer with $300 in real estate.
