Mary Glover Hubbard was born before 14 October 1776 in either Charles County, Maryland, or Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was a daughter of [Hubbard-4531|Daniel Campbell Hubbard]] and Sarah Warren Philpott.[1] On 14 October 1797, at Pittsylvania County, she appointed her brother, Moses Hubbard as her Power of Attorney. She would have been 21 years old when she appointed him to be her "true and lawful attorney to ask, receive, demand and sue for and recover all debts or sums of money . . ." in either Virginia or Maryland (Deed Book 11, page 184).[1]
On 16 September 1780, at Charles County, Maryland, Mary’s grandfather, Moses Hobart of Charles County, Maryland, named the heirs of Daniel Campbell Hobart in his will (Charles County Wills AF 7.569).[2]
Mary Glover Hubbard never married. She died after 1830 at Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was buried in the Hubbard Family Cemetery at Callands, Pittsylvania County, Virginia. Her grave site, near that of her step-father James Allen Mitchell, was marked with a small stone, simply engraved “M.G.H.[1]
