William was christened on 04 November 1746 at Ashford, Kent. He was the son of Joseph and Sarah Huckstep. [1]
Research Notes
It is likely that his parents were Joseph Huckstep and Sarah Smith, who had a number of children born in Rye, Sussex between 1742 and April 1745. They could easily have moved to Ashford, Kent and continued adding to their family in their new location.
it is possible that William was the William Huckstep who married Joanna Kidney in Bredhurst, Kent on 27 April 1773. [2]
