Biography

Naomi Florilla was born 14 May 1827 in Jackson County, TN. She was the second child of Isaac A. Huddleston and his first wife, Virginia jane Allison. Her mother died when Naomi was just fifteen, leaving behind ten children, ranging in age from two to sixteen. Her father promptly remarried that same year.

Naomi married William Asbury Ensor around 1846 at the age of nineteen. They lived with his mother, Ruth Jared Ensor and her granddaughter, Emeline Tate, on their farm.

Naomi and William raised eight children together. When her youngest son, William Wirt married, they all lived together on their farm.

In March of 1901, Naomi's husband, William died. In October of that same year, her son William Wirt Ensor died. Naomi died just five days after her son.
