Margaret was a daughter of Daniel Huff and Mary Margaret (Wallen) Huff. She was said to have been born in Claiborne County, Tennessee, apparently born or raised in Cumberland Gap. (sources needed)
She married in 1857 in Claiborne County, Tennessee, to John W. Kincaid III, nicknamed “Little John. During twelve years of their residence in Missouri, John Kincaid went by the surname Huff, returning to the use his birth surname in about 1884.
