Biography

George Hume was born circa 1789, the son of Eli Hume and Ann (Williams) Lamb, who emigrated to Saint John NB in 1783 among the Loyalists. The land records show land grants made by George and his siblings: Peter and John Hume, and Joseph Lamb[1] [2]

On January 5, 1815, he married Rebecca Robinson the daughter of son of Patrick Robinson and Sally Hatton, who were also among the Loyalists[3] [4] [5]. They may have had a daughter Sarah Ann, born 15 Jan 1816 in Gagetown, New Brunswick, who died on October 24, 1823 in Gagetown, but I have found only secondary sources.

George died in Cape Breton circa 1851
