HUNT, JAMES-Farmer, section 27 (Madison Twp.), P. O. Polk City. Was born in Kentucky, July 3, 1830, and when in his youth he commenced farming, which he has continued to the present time. In 1846 he came to this county, and has lived here since, owning a fine farm of seventy-one acres of land. He was married in this county, April 14, 1853, to Miss Rebecca Newbrough. They have had ten children, eight of whom are living Sarah E., Robert B., John W., Henry, George, Salvina, Ernest and Alphonzo. Lost two: William and Lucy E.
