Biography
Emily Frances Hunt was born in 1860 and christened on 2nd January 1861 at St Mary's, Tuddenham, (north of Ipswich), Suffolk, England. I have been unable to find the actual date of her birth, but she was under one year at the time of the 1861 census record of 7th April 1861 and, therefore, she was born (from) August 1860 and (by) 2nd January 1861.
She was a daughter of labourer, Stephen Hunt ( 1811-1884) and Priscilla (Cook) Hunt (1821-1886) and her mother's parents were James Cook and Priscilla Darkings of Tuddenham St Mary (christened on 23rd September 1821).
The Census records for 1861 and 1871 list most of her siblings : James, Fanny, Alfred, Robert, Anne and Samuel - and in 1861 she lived with her parents in High Street, Tuddenham. Suffolk. ( Public Record Office ref: R.G. 9/1142.)
In 1881 she worked as a domestic servant in the household of a London City Clerk in Hampstead (district 2). ( Public Record Office ref: R.G.11/166)
She married, in (Jul-Aug-Sep) 1883, William Moore, - and their children were: Maude, Edward, Alfred, Louisa, Emily, Charlie, Ethel, Grace and Margaret.
She died in registration quarter: Oct-Nov-Dec (Ipswich) in 1931, aged 72 years.
