Hi Joan, My great grandfather was William Cyrus Hunter ( I have old tin type photos to prove) William Died in 1938 in Swift Current Sask. William Cyrus Hunter's mother was Catherine Perdue and his father was Joseph Hunter. interesting as I was trying to track were they were born as my information was that William was born in Ontario but I did not know if his wife(Catherine) was born in Canada or USA. Hi Joan,

I'd go with your information. I've been helping a cousin who is related to the Perdue line. As I live a three minute walk from the Peel (Ontario) archives I found quite a pile of stuff in the local records. Before that I started by looking at the Latter Day Saints' FamilySearch website for names, dates, etc. The burial info came from that site not local research. As it is your family I'd suggest doing the merge with your better information. The Perdue stuff I'm more confident in, unless you find something amiss which I'd like be aware of. Hi Joan, I see you are working on merges, you may want to review http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Matching_and_Merging_FAQ to understand your responsibilities in doing merges. Remember, after the merge you will want to clean up the text. During a merge, the text from the merged-away profile is simply appended onto the end of the text of the merged-into profile. You will want to integrate it into a single biography and a single sources section. If you have any questions, just let me know.

Hi Joan,

Thank you for clearing the way so I can add my info. I hope that I'm doing it correctly so you can see it. Just started this weekend so it will take a few days at least to get all the info recorded that I have. At least I have the main line of names done without siblings. Seems to be never ending list of matches to check. Did you know that you were not a member of Wikitree? That's what the message you sent told me. The message itself was intact but didn't go to my profile page. Got rerouted to email with a notice telling me to invite you to join or report to some website if you were spam! Don't have a clue why but thought you should know. This is actually my wife's family line thru Abraham-1814 & her grt,grt grandpa Aaron-1848 Thanks again - I'll keep in touch Dave
