Biography

Crescentia Hutter was born on April 1, 1879, in Kappel, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.[1] She married John Peter Klapprich on January 31, 1905, in Hennepin, Minnesota. They had four children during their marriage. She died on June 4, 1919, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 40, and was buried in Delano, Minnesota.[2]

"Her father Michael Hutter was born in 1839 in Walde, Germany. He married Agatha Ludescher who was also born in Walde. This union was blessed with eleven children, including two daughters who passed away in infancy. Eight daughters and one son survived their parents: Mary, Mrs. John Reiser; Josephine, Mrs. Mildred Adams; Agatha, Mrs. Henry Scherer; Martha, Mrs. Henry Schmidt; Theresa, Mrs. Martin Burfening, who was the grandmother of Angie Dickinson, television and movie actress; Katherine, Mrs. Albert VonEnde; Crescentia, Mrs. John Klapperich; Rose, Mrs. Fred Leuer; and John Hutter. In 1880 Agatha and Michael Hutter emigrated to America. They then came to Delano and set themselves up in farming."[3]
