Edward Inman IV was born about Apr 1713 in Smithfield, Providence, Rhode Island, son of Edward Inman III (~1679 - 1755) and Mary (Malavery) Inman (1684 - 1744).
Edward died about 1778 in Dudley, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States aged ~65. Burial in Roberts Cemetary, Wayne Twp., Ashtabula County, Ohio.[citation needed]
The will of Edward Inman yeomanof Dudley, Massachusetts was written on September 12, 1774. In it he named the following heirs: [1]
wife Dorcas
sons Edward, Benjamin, Joseph and Nathan Inman
three daughters - Rachel the wife of Jeremiah Phillips, Ruth the wife of Phillip Mowry and Jemima the wife of Joseph Benson
grandson Elisha Phillips
wife Dorcas and youngest sons Joseph and Nathan to be executors[1]
The will was submitted to the court on September 1, 1778 and proved on October 5, 1778. On that date, Nathan Inman submitted to the court that he had notified the widow and heirs of the citation by the court accepting the will. [1]
Research Notes
Edward made a will, signed with his mark, dated December 12, 1774. He mentions "Dorcas my beloved wife" and makes bequests as noted above. He leaves a bequest to one named grandson, "Elisha Micall Phillips." It was probated in November of 1778.[2]
A Deborah Inman, b. 16 August 1748; d.? may be another child, but no source or proof.[3]
