After the death of Joseph Bates, Elizabeth's husband, she returned to England with her son, Joseph and daughter, Bertha (Margie). They stayed in England with her father and visited many relatives there.
Her occupation on her passport shows she was a nurse.
After returning to Seattle, and within 2-3 years, her children were married.
After Margie's divorce, not sure if Margie and her children moved in with Elizabeth, or the other way around, but they lived on a houseboat, by what is now Gas Works Park in Seattle, Washington. If the Space Needle were there then, they would have had a perfect view.
Elizabeth ended her days living at Fort Steilacoom in Washington. She died there, at 90 years of age.
