Elizabeth Jane Irwin was born on December 16, 1857, in Putnam County, (West) Virginia, the daughter of Matthew Irwin and Nancy (Lykins) Erwin, and died on November 6, 1929, in Hurricane, West Virginia.
She married Lewis Hodges on March 9, 1876, in Cabell County, West Virginia.
She was buried in the Hodges Cemetery in Hurricane, West Virginia
