Biography

Mary's "walk the bride dress" was given to the Maine Historical Society in Portland, for proper preservation. In that era brides weren't supposed to that fancy. They would put together a special outfit to wear on the day after their wedding, her first walk out with her husband. Mary's friendship quilt is with the Bethel (Maine) Historical Society

Eleanor reported that Mary Abigail had pernicious anemia, and in later years her mental faculties were compromised.

Buried South Byfield Cemetery, Georgetown, Massachusetts, next to her husband. "Mary A Jackman, Wife of George W Sanborn, Died Feb 16, 1885 aged 56 years"
