Biography

Nathaniel and Melissa (Malissa) Riley were married by Elder Jonathan Smith in Kanawha County, West Virginia.

According to the 1860 United States Federal Census, Nathaniel (21), his wife Melissa M. Riley (20), and his infant daughter America were living on a parcel adjacent to Nathaniel's parents, Thomas Hunt Jackson, and Martha E. Robinson Jackson.
