Biography

Mary Jackson^[1] was born on 17 August 1851 in Jane Lew, Lewis County, Virginia,^[2] the fourth of eleven children and the third of five daughters of Joseph Blackwell and Emily Lorentz Jackson.

She never married and worked as a housekeeper in Jane Lew, where she lived all her life.^[3]
