Biography

Carl took the name 'Jander' after coming to the USA. In Sweden, he used his father's last name 'Jansson' instead of taking the father's first name 'Magnus' and adding 'son' making Magnusson.

Carl immigrated to the USA on May 30, 1893. His trade was stone mason and he worked in the Sandstone, Minnesota quarries. He received his homestead land April 17, 1902.

He went back to Sweden and is buried there.

He never brought his family to the USA, but his daughters emigrated there on their own.
