Eliphalet was born abt 1754-1762. He was the son of Jabez Jarvis and Kiziah Ridge. He passed away abt 1809.[1]
Not much is known about this Eliphalet. This name continued to be used for Jarvis's down at least through Lycurgus Jarvis's generation.

The following 'Story' was found on Ancestry. But, no 'record sources' were found when this search was made for Eliphet Jarvis, born 1754.
Story: It is possible that Eliphalet was born in NJ. He first appears in Surry, NC in 1774 tax list in the district of Capt. Samuel Freeman and is there until 1792. He then appears in the Green Co., KY records in 1796; returns to NC by late 1803 and permanently moves to KY by late 1809.
The Rev. War pension record of Moses Meers of Green Co., KY helps the prove that the Eliphalet Jarvis of KY is the same one as the man in Surry Co., NC
