Biography

Charles Wesley Jarvis was born on June 25, 1881 in Calhoun County, West Virginia. [1] (His 1918 draft card has the date June 22 [2], and his 1937 death certificate has the date as June 12. [3])

He was the son of John Jarvis and Sarah Downey. [1][3]

Charles died of pernicious anemia at the age of 55 on May 29, 1937 in St. Albans, Kanawha County, West Virginia. [3]

Family

Charles married Amanda McClain on August 15, 1897 in Calhoun County, West Virginia. He was 17 and she was 15, both living in Calhoun County, at the time of their marriage. [4]
