In 1880 he married Mahala Cottrell, daughter of Nancy and Smith Cottrell; she is listed on the marriage record as divorced.[4]
He later married Hannah Virginia Smith in 1886 (source needed).
In 1900 at age 42, he lived with his wife Hannah and several children in Washington District, Calhoun County, West Virginia.[5]
In 1910 at age 52, he lived in Washington, Calhoun County, West Virginia with his wife Hannah and several children.[6]
He is buried in Josiah Jarvis Cemetery, Calhoun County, West Virginia, USA.[7]
