Biography
Some family trees list Mary's first name as Rosemary, however the only records I have been able to find identify her as Mary.
Mary was born about 1854.
She is the daughter of Allen Jay and Charity Haines.
She married Charles Brown in 1869.[1]
She married Eli Turnbough in 1876.[2]
Note
Mary's name and birth date are in dispute. Some family trees list Mary's first name as Rosemary, however all records I could find identify her as Mary. Some family tree list her date of birth as 1844 vice 1854. An 1856 Iowa State census lists a Mary Jay as a two year old in the household of Allen and Charity Jay who were later identified in Federal Census records as being in MO where Mary was married.
