Kate was a daughter of Edward Jenkins and Cecelia A. D. Myers. She was born in 1845. She married George H. Nicewarner in 1866. They had four known children. She married Benjamin F. McDonald in 1898. Kate died in 1930.

Mrs. McDonald Succumbs From Age Infirmities
Mrs. Katherine McDonald, 82, widow of the late B. F. McDonald, of this city, expired about 9:30 o'clock last night in Memorial Hospital as the result of age infirmities resulting from complications. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Jenkins and spent a large part of her life in this city.
She was married twice, the first time to George Nicewarner who died about 45 years ago. By her first marriage, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alice Dick and Mrs. Emma Kern, both of this city. Some years after the death of her first husband she was married to B. F. McDonald, a native of Bloomery, W. Va. Mr. McDonald died about 20 years ago and since then Mrs. McDonald has made her home in this city. She is the last of her immediate family and besides the two daughters named above, Mrs. McDonald is only survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted for her at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Parlett Funeral Home on North Braddock street with the Rev. George W. Stover, pastor of the United Brethren Church, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery.[4]
