Niels Jepsen died before 1600 in Bundgaard, Vester Halne, Vadum, Kær, Aalborg, Denmark.
" Niels Jepsen (Ibsen, Ebbesen) was probably the son of minister Jep Olsen i Vadum (1545). 1. Jul. 1580 a grant was issued to Niels Ebbesen in West Halin to collect the royal and grain tithe in Vadum parish in return for an annual fee of 24 barrels of rye and 24 barrels of barley. He is mentioned in West Halne in Aalborghouse land records 1562, but 1600-1605 his widow Anne is mentioned, and 1606-1608 she is mentioned together with the son Bertel Nielsen as the user of Bundgaard. In the stedsmålsfortegnelsen (Aalborghus entailed estate accounts) 1608-1609 an income of 110 crowns is reported, which Bertel Thomsen Kjærulf gave in stedsmål for the farm which Bertel Bonde and his mother Anne Markvardsdatter oplod. Besides this son Bertel Nielsen (also listed as Bertel Bonde, meaning Bertel free farmer) Niels Jepsen presumably had another son Thomas Nielsen, who in 1600-1605 is identified as living in West Halne in farms with Niels Christensen. He was presumably the father of Bertel Thomsen Kjærulf, who was married to Inger Mortensdatter Kjærulf from East Halne and [with] whom he had many children."
