Sarah Jess, daughter of George and Charlotte (Huntley) Jess,[1]

Born 16 Jul 1836 in Nova Scotia, Canada. [2]

She married George D. Corkum.[1]

The 44-year-old appears with her family in Canning in the 1881 census. [3]

Died 24 Mar 1917 in Scots Bay, Kings County, Nova Scotia. [4]

Buried Scots Bay, Kings County, Nova Scotia, Canada. [5]

Her parents names were George and Charlotte. Family legend is that DeLacy wanted her to join him in New England and after repeated refusals, he divorced her (date unknown).

Sarah appears on the 1891 Census for Kings Co., NS Canada, at Scots Bay: Corkum, Sarah age 46, married; Warren, age 20, farmer; Chesley, age 18 farmer; Harding, age 16, farmer; Birdie, age 12.
