Johnson was born July 14, 1781 according to the Douglas Register. She was the illegitimate child of Thomas Johnson and Ursula Green/Row/Estes. She married Thomas Harper Ratcliff, December 4, 1800,[1] the record of this marriage states her mother was "Lucy". But the witness is shown as "Ursula Estes", quite a cunning woman to mislead a Priest.[2]
