William Johnston was a North Carolina colonist.

William Johnston was the first-born son of Larkin Chew Johnston and Mary Rogers. Born in Virginia, his birthdate was 14 Oct 1746 Old Style and 25 Oct New Style.[1][2] Perhaps it was a great adventure for him when he moved as a pre-teen with his family to Granville County, North Carolina. Sadly, he passed away there on 29 Nov 1759.[2] His age was 13 years, 1 month and 15 days.[1]

Johnson-77827 and Johnston-10026 do not represent the same person because: William Johnson (Johnson-77827) marries Ann Lamplugh in Garton on the Wolds, Yorkshire England in 1768.
William Johnston (Johnston-10026) is born in Virginia in 1745, dying in North Carolina thirteen years later

These two are clearly different individuals, living in different continents and one marrying after the other dies. They are clearly not the same person though in this case the different Last Name at Bis not a factor as the two names are often confused
