He received his diploma in civil engineering from Laval University in 1952, and specialized in the realization of large public infrastructure projects. The field remained a life-long passion: until his death, Gustave closely tracked the progress of the large projects that transformed the province of Quebec since the 1960's. Another passion was extreme pride in his children and grandchildren. Gustave died on 23 Feb 2019 in Montréal, Québec aged 89.[2]
