Biography

Philip was born about 1813, probably in or near Edmonson Co., Kentucky.[1] His parents were Philip F. Jones Jr (1786-aft.1860) and Judith (Hayzlip) Jones (1789-aft.1860).

He married (1) Nancy (Vincent) Jones (abt.1817-bef.1848).

Children (JONES):

  1. Rachel (1835-1927), m. William Alexander Ferguson after her sister Nancy died; 7 children
  2. Nancy E. (1841-1859), m. William Alexander Ferguson; no children
  3. Louisa (abt.1842-); no record after 1860
  4. John W (1845-aft.1860); no record after 1860
  5. Solomon (1846-aft.1860); no record after 1860

Nancy died before Apr 1848.

He married (2) Elizabeth (Salling) Jones (1816-bef.1858) on 12 Apr 1848.
