Biography

William was born 3 April 1825 in Chiswick, Middlesex. He was baptised on the 24th April at St Nicholas, Chiswick [1]

In 1841 he was living with his parents on William Street in Chiswick [2]

William Jones, a bachelor of full age, a labourer, s/o William Jones, a fish salesman; married Hannah Bates, a spinster of full age, d/o William Bates, a bricklayer. Both signed. The witnesses were Henry Milkin (X) and Elizabeth Jones (X) [3]

In 1851 William was a labourer living on 5 Bennett Street, Chiswick [4] and by 1861 they had moved just a few doors down the street to number 30 [5]. In 1861 he was a bricklayer's labourer and his father, William, was living with them still working as a fishmonger.

By 1871 they had moved to Devon Place in Chiswick [6]

He died late in 1871 and his death was registered in Brentford [7]
