| Margaret (Keith) Keith Countess of Caithness was an inhabitant of Medieval Scotland. Join: Scotland Project Discuss: Scotland |
Margaret was born in 1477. She was the daughter of William Keith 4th Laird of Inverugie. She appears to have been married to William Sinclair as a child in 1483 but subsequently she gave him 2 sons John Sinclair afterwards 3rd Earl of Caithness and Alexander Sinclair afterwards 1st of Stemster.
In Balfour-Paul Margaret is referred to as "Mary daughter of Sir William Keith of Inverugy" but she seems to have otherwise been described as Margaret Keith.
