Biography

William Robert Kemp was born on 17 March 1856 in Castlemaine, Victoria, Australia. He was the son of Robert Kemp and Ann (Brewer) Kemp.^[1][2][3][4]

When William was 22 he married Mary Ann Morris on 9 February 1879 in St Mary's Church, Castlemaine, Victoria, Australia.^[5] The couple had 16 children: Charles Alfred Kemp, Elizabeth Anne Kemp, Emma Louisa Maud Kemp, Ethel May Kemp, Herbert Harold Kemp, Robert George Kemp, Reuben William Kemp, Gertrude Mabel Kemp, Joseph Leslie Kemp, Leslie Joseph Kemp, Francis Kemp, Mary Kemp, Herbert Harold Kemp, William Reuben Kemp, Eileen Kemp and Mary Ann Kemp.

Mary died in 1903.
