Her parents are unknown. She has been detached from Andrew Kerr and Margaret Hepburn as parents as they are too old. Since she had children being married in the mid-1500s, she likely was born no earlier than 1510.
Her husband was Sir John Home of Coldaneknollis / Cowdenknowes, whose parents were Mungo Home and Elizabeth Stewart (illegitimate daughter of the James Stewart, Earl of Buchan, by Margaret Murray).[1][2]
Among children were:
Sir James Home (died 22 Apr 1592), who had issue, and who was Warden of the East March of Cowdenknowis, and appointed in 1580 Gentleman of the Bedchamber to King James VI[1][2]
Alexander Home, Parson of Spot, Parson of Dunbar; married Janet Hamilton, by whom they had issue[2]
William Home, who married 5 Oct 1568 Marion Pringle, daughter of James Pringle of Wodehouse and Whytbank, widow of George Pringle of Blyndlie, with issue; married second, before 2 Jan 1576/7 Helen Edmestoun, daughter of John Edmestoun of that Ilk and widow of Henry Haitlie, younger of Mellerstain[2]
Margaret Home, who married William Turnbull, son and heir of Sir Thomas Turnbull of Bedrule; their only daughter, Margaret, married Robert Frenche of Thornydikes[2]
